MicrosensDx’s patented RapiPREP® Nucleic Acid Extraction for SARS-CoV-2 technology provides a rapid, sustainable, and scalable solution to extract nucleic acids from a variety of sample types suspected of containing multiple pathogens, including viruses and bacteria.

The extraction is carried out by combining a proprietary magnetic bead-based solution with a buffer. No organic solvents, isopropanol or ethanol are required.

Extraction of the RNA from the sample takes less than 10 minutes.

It is also cost-effective as it does not require centrifugation; something necessary with traditional RNA extraction and which can lead to degradation of nucleic acids due to the shear forces involved.

Extraction with RapiPREP® Nucleic Acid Extraction for SARS-CoV-2 markedly increases the sensitivity of the subsequent LAMP or PCR result.

RapiPREP® Nucleic Acid Extraction for SARS-CoV-2can be used in a high-throughput format or in a close to patient setting, in a minimally equipped laboratory.
